What sort of promise were you thinking of?

Agreed, agreed, agreed...done with this story already.

Could be. I guess that couldn't hurt since I not an Obama fan either...

Wait for it...wait for it..."I see stupid people". And no, not you Mike. You're only the messenger. No, it's those who are so desperate for real solutions to our very big problems, that they will take Sarah at her word. And that, I'm afraid, amounts to some very dangerous thinking. In my opinion - she's incapable, shallow, exploitative, and a user of people. She can't even keep up with her own lies. But, of course, to some, she's attractive and yes, a little "rogue", I suppose. It's just amazing to me how many people seem so willing to overlook all of that and get on board that fast-moving train anyway...

Thanks, Billie. Maybe this idea is something that comes easily for most folks, but in some things I have proven to have been a slow learner. At least now I have some great teachers in my own grand kids...

Maybe the US should follow Denmark's lead...for more than a few people I know, I'd certainly chip in some of my own money.

I really like this article. It's well thought out and interesting. I notice it's been awhile since you've written, though and wonder why...
I've signed on as your fan in hopes you'll write more. You do have a "way with words" that's unique.

Thanks for the thumbs-up. I consider getting that rare when someone doesn't agree. But I never write trying to "convert" anyone to what I've said. My words are just my observations; nothing more; nothing less. I didn't mention Obama really, but I also have to question a lot of things he's not doing right now. After all these years, I should know better. Politics has never been about leveling with people. Yes, he does do a lot of talking and as of yet, not a lot more than that. I didn't vote for him and unless Palin proves herself in some extraordinary way, I won't be voting for her, either. That is, if that time ever indeed comes. Thanks, as always, for you thoughts, views and your thumbs up...

I hadn't heard this story - almost seems unbeliveable...but I'm sure that sadly, it's all too true...

Thanks as always for your comments. I seem to be having some problems with people being able to post on occasion. Also, I had an article last week that first received only 77 views. I deleted it and reposted and have received about 5,700 views since. Was wondering if you've had any similar problmes? Anyway...thanks again.

Incredible, thoughtful work you've done here. I like it. Hope to see more in this vein...you are so right. We cannot allow a few to police individual choice.

I really did'nt know any of these at all. So - thanks! for the info.

Thanks for weighing in on this. Interesting comparisons you've made. The way things are today makes it very difficult to want to try to accept anyone else's ideas about relgion in general. It's all, at least in my opinion, a highly exclusionary thing. If you're not one of us, then to hell with you. And that's supposed to be a demonstration of God's love? Lots of folks will of course disagree with me. But religion is one thing; spirituality is quite another. Religion is, of necessity,a group effort that requires you always give up something of yourself and accept everything about that particular religion. Spirituality only requires that you find things, if you so desire, your own way...

"like dealing with under aged terrorists"...

Yes, you have that absolutely correct. Bullying cannot be considered part of growing up; not when kids die because they can't face life. Unable to "Take it" cannot be an excuse for bad behavior.

I think today's form of bullying is a symptomatic derivative of today's mainstream society. And that is very scary indeed...
