Afghan army and police are selling their United States supplied equipment to Drug & warlords and it ends up with Taliban. Our audit and public management office has that on record. Pakistan's Forces have a proud record of accounting for each and every bullet not to mention high tech expensive equipment.

I fully endorse jmsjoin's views. The sad part is our congress is draging its feet. Pakistani army needs helicopters, night vision, predator drones and the airforce needs upgradation of its fighter force.

These requests of Pakistani defence forces are long outstanding since 2003. We need to understand that they are not going to use what they have in reserve to deter a possible Indian attack; Indian Leaders never miss an opportunity to threaten Pakistan. We need to provide them latest equipment and technology and keep on replenishing it to win against the millitancy in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

This is in our own security interest and is much more economical use of
our Tax dollars rather than spending zillions on our forces in Afghanistan.

The main roads have been mined by Mehsud Taliban and are full of other IED's. Keeping evacuating people off main roads is for their protection. The tribes were given months notice to shift to camps in Bannu and DIK districts where they are being provided food, shelter and children school facillities.

This is a despicable and condemnable report by Amnesty International. Why do they not report the killings of women and children, bombings of girl schools, throat slashing of journalists and aid workers by Mehsud tribe Taliban. Who are they trying to please and are they beholden to Mehsud Taliban.

These are last pangs of pain before the death of pakistan taliban their tactics indicate their sense of insecurity. This exercise in chest-puffing has strengthened the Pakistani citizen's and military's resolve.

We must play our part in providing Pakistan millitary the equipment it has been long requesting; our Congress must act now and not doubt and clear Pentagon reccomendations in this regard.
It is time we put Karzai and India on notice to back off from supplying training and weapons to Masud Taliban mercenaries.

Pakistani's are against the aid because of humiliating conditions attached to the aid bill and interfgerence in Pakistan's internal affairs and they consider i.5 billion aid peanuts as compared to 62 billion spent in Afghanistan without achieving commesurate results.

No, its everyone in Pakistan except the fragile civilian government of the Pakistan Peoples Party. We have to realize that we are spending 62 billion dollars a month in Afghanistan as compared to 1.5 billion dollars a year we are promising to Pakistan and that to with conditions that 80% Pakistanis are against. There should be tranparency and accountability for the money spent. While as per our own audits there lot of unaccountability in the money we sped in Afghanistan including pilferage of weapons ending up with Alqaeda and Taliban.
Pakistan army and ISI have caught over 700 major terrorist and handed them over to the CIA and over two thousand pakistan army soldiers have lost their lives. We need to have some proportionality between 62 billion and 1.5 billion dollars a year.

It appears that thaere are some vested interest who are trying to make this bill an ENHANCED ENIMITY WITH PAKISTAN ACT. These could be some selfish Pakistani', Indian Lobby or Zoinist Lobby. Please let's debate this.
