Yes, I agree that China and India will and have claimed for their share of environmental pollution...it is a fair claim, but when we look at the big picture, it is too late for that. A concession (to control the global warming) should be reached no matter what. Great article!
    cheers

I agree with both MsMystro and maryannscarngello!
In my opinion, the only reason why developed nations should try to avoid nuclear power is to show the rest of the world that "clean" renewable energy can be achievable. But why needed to show it? I don't know...perhaps the developed nations were the ones to lead the civilization in last centuries...have the technology and investment! But when nuclear technology is harnessed as weapons, then it is a big danger, none should be allowed!

Yes, dependence on oil is next burden to get off before the shortage becomes bitter than what already is among different nations. The fuel is the driving source of economy, China is stepping up with human fuel (labor force)for now; however, the dependence on oil is so much that it might collapse like the recent global economy. Overall next step, cities will be targeting new generations of housing with mandatory green roofs.

Yeah, as I said earlier, let me know, we can talk more about it if needed!
    cheers!

    Hi MsMystro,
Well, if you are really curious:
If you are looking for scientific evidences, let's look back 2001

Little later what BBC said in 2005:

Just check the blogs if you don't believe the hyper-news:

Maybe seeing is better than hearing:

Slydog, sorry for the smoking reference. It was just the symbolic thread continued from last comment.I have not read Plato that much either, but the allegory strikes me...very deep! You got it... Yes, I agree we have electric tram systems to build. Montreal in Canada and some European cities have started the bike-sharing option in downtown. The sky train in Vancouver, of course, another example.Innovation will always be rewarded, people need to make affordable electric car for immediate relief. By the way, I still use public transit to go to work!

Denial it is! The real problem is ignored. It is human nature to be skeptical, but what the heck people see when scientists point out with facts that it is a threat. I think those "smokers" as you pointed out, will have hard time to believe until they see disaster on their yard. Tsunami in Sri Lanka is too far for them, desertification in Africa is just another news. One thing we should always remember is that we are spreading the words and it will help change the world, it will be easier to convince underprivileged people (from third world country) the facts, rather than to try to convince the hypocrites of developed nations who deny the global warming. Anyway, your positive move with solar energy is definitely a step forward. If you have read "allegory of cave" by Plato, those cave-dwellers will have to accept the truth one day.
Thanks for the very constructive comment!I appreciate your passion to join the hands for better future!

Thanks PhillipWoolgar! Microsoft announced it last week in LA. Yes, it is going to very cool. Specially, when we start combining the 3D technology with full-body controlled gaming system. The movies have a trend to be more interactive, i.e. moving chairs. I think games will be more interactive and 3D with the "real feel", and so will be the movies! There might be movies that you make as you go! yeah same idea! That's just my opinion, you don't have to agree!
    Cheers!

This "Windows 7" might be a great success or another disaster as well. I am pretty sure it is going to be at least better than the Vista. I am looking forward to it.

It is definitely possible to live with harmony. The biggest problem as you pointed out as well is the lack of orientation towards dealing with the real problem. I mean one of the major problems is that there is not enough support and incentives/jobs for the people who have a desire to go green or become innovative. Renewable energy is the next forefront which I believe all nations have to invest in.
