MoreChristians are individuals who accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and follow in His teachings. "What would Jesus do?" is the theme of their actions, or should be.
There are speculations about non-Christians, homosexuals, transgenders, those who do not follow the Christian standard. Many use scripture for the foundation of their judgement. However they forget that Jesus taught us to love our brothers and sisters, not selective love, but love. It is not our right to pass judgement on how we live our lives.
Most Christians need to realize our purpose which is to follow Christ, not be Him. God did not give us the right to exercise His power. We are to support the ones we love, exercise understanding, forgiveness, sensitivity, respect.
A large amount of Christians I have encountered accept those who are in their circle. I have had personal experience with this. During church, the speak of accepting, witnessing to others, letting people know Jesus through us, through our actions; ironically these are the people who shut out non-Christians, anyone they do not wish to accept.
It is my understanding that to those who do not yet know Christ, we are to demonstrate His teachings through our actions. By shutting them out, we do God a great dis-service. We turn them away from God by turning away from them.
