Saed Abu Hmud Was born in Bethlehem Palestine, He studied TV directing and audiovisual productions at the Palestine technical colleges. After graduation in 1999 he worked as a cameraman and producer with major broadcasting bodies and production companies and as an assistant director in feature films.
He participated in many filmmaking and script writing workshops and training courses arranged by the Euromed Audiovisual Project 2, the Sundance film Institute and the Script factory. His first documentary film "Nativity Church" 28min was produced in 1999. In 2005 he directed "Second Halftime" 21min; premiered in Visions du reel international film festival (Nyon) and officially selected for many other major film festivals worldwide.
In 2006 He joined the BBC television center in London for 3 months fellowship as a cameraman and producer in the program News night. He directed two short documentaries in Jordan in cooperation with the Palestinian audiovisual project and the Jordanian Royal film commission (Distortion 4min, Offside 13min) in 2006.
Recently he participated in a 2 month visit to the United Nations Headquarter in New York and the Human Rights council in Geneva and the USA political administration in Washington DC.
