I saw a report today that showed what the prison mates did to a man who sexually assaulted a 4 month old. I cannot post it here. It is extremely gruesome.

If practised in a closed room with the intention to excercise rather than distract, then why not?

exactly!! this is not an excuse to perform this stunt!

absolutely not! And it does not save your baby. Its a miracle that the baby has survived. I am okay with people following superstition. But dumping a baby in a pot of boiling water is beyond foolishness. It is outright crazy. People wouldn't even do that to their worst enemies.

yes i had received this mail when i was in college three or four years back, saying exactly what you had said. It said such punishments are frequent in Iran and I just couldn't believe it. I was wondering how people can just stand around and watch such inhumane thing. Mind you, the pictures after the incident were not present. They just showed the part where the boy's arm was under the blanket and the wheels about to run over it. I hope the people who divide in the name of religion will die multiple times in the nether-realm, of each people they have helped to kill.

LOL! Well, I don't know what you meant in the last line... lets just say that I agree with you that they should not have made a mockery of Virgin Mary.

Yes Majdy, definitely...it is a bit insensitive and unnerving... they have apologized for it...but I think the apology was already ready before they even published the cover.

definitely. life is the most precious gift that God has given mortals. Living your life also means following your passion, friend. This much I can tell you from personal experience, friend, that nomatter what happens, if God has not written for you to be in His Presence, you will not die. No climber goes with the intention of dying. I have seen and heard people die so unexpectedly, at an age when their ambitions and goals have just started. So many Sherpas have died in the mountains in their 8th or 10th attempt. Many people, including someone very close to me, insist that this is stupidity. Why would anyone want to leave their loved ones and go do something so dangerous? The answer that I think I gave that someone is: when you follow your heart, your passion, you reach closer to God, and the moment you do, you are in greatest Moment of Joy. You want to return to that Moment again and again.

Many people believe that the best reason why climbers go do this risky climb can be symbolized by the very simple statement that George Mallory, the climber who almost made it to Everest way before Sir Edmond Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, made while a dumbstruck reporter asked him why he should risk loosing everything for a big rock--- "Because it is there..."

I agree with cooldiponline, majdy, solitaire here. Wikipedia now is very synonymous with information in the internet. They can ban only non-relevant and questionable info. It is such hypocrisy that the same people who ban this watch the same thing when no one is looking.

yes, I agree to a certain extent. Just that some parents might have a moral issue with this, since Obama has become so iconic now that children might start idolizing him. I don't think its about what he wants to do. I think its what he wants to show the world what he is. I am pretty sure smoking was not a part of it. My best friend is a smoker and I, personally, have no issues with anyone smoking. It is a matter of choice.

Yes, life is completely different in some parts of the world. We take so many things for granted that we forget that a horrid thing like this can happen to someone as well. Hustle bustle of a city, going to work everyday we whine and cry about traffic, food whereas in some places like this, having a life itself is a miracle. As you said, thanks to allvoices, we as a news reporting/sharing community have done our best to make "voices" heard. :)

posts like this would instigate violence against the innocent. Prodiglow, this is a sensitive issue and I am sure you know it. Let me assure you that the violence towards a certain group is always instigated by only a handful of leaders and his followers, be it from any community. I am a Hindu and I certainly do not have this attitude. Nor does my Muslim friends have attitude of the terrorists. This video is shocking to say the least and main culprit in my mind is the police who just stood there watching this mindless act. And No, it is NOT alright to blame Pakistan for Mumbai tragedy. Let us not make religion something that drives us apart.
