In my bid to expose my talent as a budding writer, I have created a Professional Writing Portfolio which I intend to use as a marketing tool for my skills. I have therefore put together a variety of articles, some of which are my own creative writing while others are samples of work projects, all intended to represent my ability to communicate clearly through the written word.

What I wish to accomplish through this portfolio is to use it as a gateway into the mainstream media, particularly news writing, editing and print media. I hope to get an opportunity to sharpen my skills further through training and eventually build a strong career in the media industry.

In my understanding, a career in journalism for a writer starts with a passion to write,
being inquisitive and a liking to educate others in written ways that they can relate to. A writer should also have a drive to make positive change in people’s lives through informing and educating. These are among other factors that are driving me into pursuing a career out of my writing talent, which I intend to use with professionalism and dedication.

I wish to note that I will keep expanding my portfolio as I work to keep improving my writing skills.
