Lynda C. Corpuz is presently managing editor of MoneySense, the Philippines’ new and only personal finance magazine. With the magazine’s tie-ins with various media, her select MoneySense articles appear in the personal finance section of Inquirer.net and the business section of abs-cbnnews.com.
Lynda was also staff writer for Enterprise business-lifestyle magazine, where she won the 2006 UPS Best Story (from the global company UPS, and its Asia-Pacific public relations groups’ internal competition), and was also finalist in the best investigative report category of the 2006 Catholic Mass Media Awards. She was also feature writer/editorial assistant for The Manila Times Lifestyle and Entertainment sections.
She is also contributing editor to a local beauty clinic and an environmental NGO publication; contributing writer to various publications. Lynda was also a contributing writer for a top auditing firm in the country.
She was Special Reports editor for The Varsitarian, the official student publication of UST, (where she finished AB Journalism). Lynda was also student trainee for international news agency Agence France Presse. She also serves as lecturer in campus journalism seminars and workshops for various Metro Manila and North Luzon universities, high schools, and elementary schools, and as judge in Metro Manila district- and division-wide campus journalism contests.
Finishing now her MA Media Studies major in Journalism degree at the University of the Philippines-Diliman, Lynda also attended the registered financial planners program of the Registered Financial Planners Institute of the Philippines and University of Asia and the Pacific.
Above all, she is a sister, friend, and fiancée.
