    I'm currently in Nairobi. The country is on fire.
    Kisumu, Eldoret, Kakamega are all on fire Kibera, Mathare, Kariobangi,
    Eastlands in Nairobi. My parents in Buru Buru say all they hear are
    gunshots.

    Unfortunately its mostly the slums that are affected.

    In the far distance you can see the fires in Kibera.

    Its so unfortunate that its the poor who are suffering. Westlands
    (where I am) is calm and quiet. This morning people were shopping at
    Ukay and Westgate....

    After the looting in Kisumu all Nakumatts are closed across the
    country. Uchumi was open and they got overwhelmed by people stocking
    up. (we also stocked up at the Sarit Uchumi. The line was crazy
    long).

    Michuki has just made a decree: All media houses have been banned from
    making 'live' broadcasts or anything that can considered inciting.
    Basically an information blackout. some of the most relevant
    information is coming from Al Jazeera.

    Its on Al Jezeera that we heard that Raila has called for a rally at
    Uhuru Park tomorrow to install him as "the people's president".

    I expect we will have a state of emergency declared in a few hours to
    forestall that.

    The E.U observer team has declared that they are not confident about
    the results of the presidential results. They have proof that for
    Molo Constituency the results announced were 40,000 less than what was
    announced by the ECK in Nairobi. E.U. observers were kicked out of
    the KICC ECK nerve center with claims that the were...
