In my junior year of high school I finally came to terms with the fact that I didn’t have the talent (and about a hundred other things) to be a professional baseball player. I wanted to catch for my hometown team San Francisco Giants. (I think my parents knew I was not going to be wearing spikes to work when I was swinging at bad pitches in the womb.)
My burning passion for baseball still remained, so it was as that point that I wanted to be a general manager of a major league baseball team. I began the track by doing various sports related internships throughout college. In my junior year of college, I worked for the University of Wisconsin Athletic department as a marketing intern. It was from this job that I grew a passion for marketing.
Upon graduating college in December of 2009 from UW-Madison, I shortly took a job with a startup company in New York as a social media consultant. Since, working as a social media consultant I have found a love for all things social media and all of the possibilities that it provides for companies in marketing and branding.
This blog is the compilation of three miniature blog. There is the Social Media Breakdown, which delves into the aforementioned. The #TSNT is about trying something new every Tuesday. Lastly, the newest feature, the weekend breakdown, is a look at a particular social media tool that companies can use to benefit their marketing and branding efforts.
