I ask a lot questions but i rarely get answers...
i have come to accept that its not the answers but the voyage and journey of getting there..the adventures make my lack of knowing worthwhile
I write to encourage people to think out of the box..
Like what you read? Hate what you read? let me know! I love to hear comments about work that ive been inspired not required to create.
If 50% of american heterosexual marriages end in divorce...who are we to deny two individuals who have stayed together for 15 years the right to marriage just because they are the same sex?
Let's face it. Finding someone to shag is one thing. Infactuation lust and limerence it all fades in about 2 years..if you are lucky. but finding someone to love and cherish now that's a challenge. If for some reason you find someone strong enought to be your partner than i say go for it. Does not matter what you orientation, gender whatever is. Sexuality exists along a contunuum and monogamy is a rare bird. many people flee from it! if you lvoe someone and you want to spend the rest of your life with him/her and share your livelyhood with them that is your perogative. WHo does the government think they are? they have no business in dictating what is definend as "a consitutional marriage." that is preposterous. You dont choose who you fall in love with, so the government should not choose who you can marry.
Seriously as far as I am concerned this is a human rights violation. San Francisco is denying people a basic human right...the right to excrete in a private and clean place. There is nothing worse than in the midst of an extensive adventure realizing your coffee needs to come out NOW. Because basically you are screwed. You can either A. hold it in B. Find a tree/or an alley C. spend copious amounts of unnecessary money at a cafe or restaruant with the hope that they will let you use the bathroom and the bathroom is somewhat decent.
it is a crime what the city of San Francisco has imposed on us. porta potties are hardly the solution. They are hardly environmentally friendly. They are easily vandalized. THey absolutely are one of the worst inventions ever/
And in reference to the Bay to Breakers...i cant tell you how many people i saw peeing that day....on the street!
The mayor of Folsom street is a much better mayor than Gavin Newsom. While he does not travel the full extent of folsom street (he tends to stay between 4th and 7th) he is way more involved with his constituients than Mayor Newsom will ever be. Larry Schultz is the epitamy of what a mayor should be, gregarious, socialabe, wise, and inviting. To move him from his 17 year old studio, is like moving a San Francisco landmark. despite the faltering economy and raising rent prices, politians remain in realitively stable condition. Its yoga repesents the arts, culture and sense of community of San Francisco. Larry Schultz should not be forced to move from his precious studio. Politians should be taxed so that the real mayor can remain in his office on folsom street.
caltrain should do this too. The train could be covered/painted in advertisements, and as it runs accross the peninsula people can see the ads dance along the traintracks. then caltrain can make more money, and use more trains and charge less for passengers
Muni is absolutely awful. I think it is a crime that they are raising their prices. As a rider you definitely are not get your money's worth on muni...that dollar and a half deserves way better service, as in a bus that shows up regularly during the day, evening and night hours. Raising the rates and reducing the muni lines is only going to decrease ridership and rider satisfaction. For a city that tries so hard to be green, san francisco hopelessly fails at public transportation. attempts should be made to make muni more accesible, effficent, and affordable for all.
