An Accountant by trade. Born and raised in New York and currently reside in New Jersey. My goal in this endeavor is to provide some insights and points of view that may not necessarily be those expressed by the Mainstream Media or the Politically correct.
I am not bound to the Government, Democrats, Republicans,Independents, special interest groups or identity politics. I am bound and driven to try and give opinions, different perspectives and raise questions to relevant subject matter that for the most part goes under reported.I will not be politically correct or cowered into saying what I don't believe.I hope that people will be inspired in some way to challenge the status quo and exercise their freedoms of expression to open up debates about issues that are relevant and shape the lives others and ours.
The problem is that very few people in this country have the balls to confront face to face what is going on. These Socialists have infiltrated our country and the White House and everyone is just gaga over their transformational leader.
It is disgusting what is taking place in this country. But there is no leadership on either side to take on and call out these thugs that have wrecked this country and continue to do so.
The official count of those that were killed as a result of the terorist attack on the twin toweres was 2819. Over three thousand could mean 3700, 3800 0r 3999.
"I wouldn't say that Obama is highly intelligent at all. He is eloquent in his speech making, which would mean that he has a great staff of writers who are highly intelligent".
Excellent point. I agree 100%. He is eloquent to the extent that his teleprompter does not malfunction.
While some of the problems that plague our country today have been the result of Republican leadership, it should not exculpate of give the current president freereign to compound these problems. Specifically quadrupling the deficit in his first 100 days.
A President cannot continue to blame prior administrations he must provide tangible solutions. For this he must be to blame. as it is almost a year inot his presidency already.
The Manhattan Declaration is not attempting to impress their views on the rest of the non Christian population. They are simply defending their stands on a host of human life issues. That is a little different than how Lecia wants to reset the argument.
I think they are 100% within their bounds to pushback and say the buck stops here. I fyou want gay marriage, fine. If you want to continue to fund and have abortions, fine. It is just not going to be done under the purvey of the Catholic, Christian or Evangelical Church.
Well Said. Frankly, I am a little tired of the Left & the Secularists in this country enacting moral terpitude and flogging the church. This whirlwind of utter disregard for human life and the promotion of sexual promiscuity goes against the grain of good family life.
I hate to break the news you, we are not a secular society. 81% of Americans identify themselves with a specific religion in the US.
159 million of them identify themselves as Christian. I think you have gotten your information mixed up wirth another country.
Again, this has nothing to do with separation of church and state as much as you are trying to make it.
This has to do about defending core believes that have been trampled on by Secularists. At last check, 81% indicates a big majority.
Again, it's not about what i think, the majority of the people don't feel that their tax dollars go towards funding abortions whether they are legal or not. If you want to get an abortion, why should I help pay for it? Why not spend your own money?
Then if that is the case why is the government allowing abotions to be paid with tax payer funds? TO me that is affirmation enough. Please do not put words in my mouth. It's not me forcing anything on anybody. I simply stated that I am glad that the church has taken this stand. THey are not my beliefs they are the chruch's belief's. I agree with them, but they are not my beliefs.
I don't know that this document was drafted to deny Gay's their standing in society as much as the Church is drawing the line on and defending the dignity of marriage as the conjugal union of husband and wife. What the Church is saying thru this document, is that they will defend this stance and not bend to accomodate idealogies that go against their believe.
There is nothing wrong with this stance. If you want to have a Gay Union fine. It's just not going to through the Catholic or Chistian church.
It is a first step and I think that they are drawing their line in the sand. I would like to see thme stand up and show some spine in fighting back. We do need a moral compass that our youth rely on. We need to get back to some core basics and values that for so long have been missing.
I am not really sure where you are going with this comment, but separation of church & state is an entirely different isuue. The Manhattan Declaration simply states that it is going to defend some very importatnt core family issues that have come under attack by secularists and the oddly enough the state. I applaud them for taking this stance. Religion has always been the bedrock of good family life & moral values that are so missing in today's youth.
Regardless of what Church & State says, the Church has to play her part through rational argument and she has to reawaken the spiritual energy without which justice…cannot prevail and prosper".(Pope Benedict XVI).
This statement could not be more important today as the Church continues to come under unrelenting attack from, atheists, secularists, special interest groups, Gay-Marriage proponents, Pro-Abortion Zealots and even the State.
If this guy wants to use that kind of sexually explicit garbage on primetime tv. he needs to take his act to some Cabaret in the redlight district of NYC.
If you need to resort to that type seedy performance, you are in trouble.
I see you chose to focus on my paraphrasing instead of the real issue here. I know the exact quote as well as you do.
There are many factors as to why the working poor can't seem to make ends meet.Perhaps is it because they taxed too much? Maybe if they had made better life choices and stayed in school instead of dropping out, or maybe if less African American men would stick around and help raise their kids instead of leaving all up to a single young mother, maybe that would help.
From my perspective a lot of this money should be re-directed towards job training or help put more lower-income people thru college where they have a better chance at being gainfully employed instead of having a hand out.
They were in power, but the Democratically led Congress and Senate basically vetoed every peice of Legislation put forth by republicans.
May I remind you, Healthcare was not the issue in the 2008 elections. It was the economy. Our Healthcare system is still the envy of the world. People will always come to the US for treatment but no one in the US will ever go abroad to get treated.
Is the system broken? No. Can it use some reforms? Yes.
Is the government run healthcare the answer? No. They can't even deliver a freakin flu vaccine even after getting a year headstart.
Again, all of this comes back to the notion that somehow this President wants to institute s Single Payer system in this country and basically take control of 1/6th of our economy. Do you feel comfortable with this? I don't.
A Public Option & Government run healthcare has been the dream and fantasy of the Left for the last 60 years. This is theri one and only chance to get something passed regardless if the American want it or not.
If these so called "Haves" have made their money through their hard work, investments, & risk taking, why should they give you or me an extra penny of it? It is their money and they can do what ever they with with it. THese so called Haves, create millions of jobs and pay the majority of the taxes in this country.
The opportunities are there for innovators and anyone that wants to take advantage of free entrprise. I don't care for anyone else's money so as long as they did not break the rules to make it.
Where you need to place your anger may be at the government and this administration that is doing everything in it's power to destroy Capitalism and break the backs of small business.

Once again, thanks for pointing some key facts. Obama & the word Globalist fit perfectly together.
Oprah, can you please ride off into the night already. Please...
Let's get the numbers right..

Respectfully disagree with you here.
