A Cuban in Cuba. Writer, photographer, editor. Member of the Provoices Team.
Graduate in Biochemistry, Havana University 1994.
From 1994 to 1999 I worked as a molecular biologist in the Human Recombinant Vaccine Division of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) of Havana City.
I have 4 short-story books published in Cuba: “Collage-Karaoke” (2001), “Empezar de Cero” (2001), “Ipatrías” (2005), and “My name is William Saroyan” (2006).
My fiction book “Boring Home” (Garamond, Prague 2009) was banned from publication in Letras Cubanas publishing house in Havana.
My opinion columns are published in the websites “Diario De Cuba”, “Penúltimos Días”, “Cubaencuentro”, and “Fogonero Emergente”, as well as in my blogs “Lunes de Post-Revolución” (the English version is in “Post-Revolution Mondays”) and “Boring Home Utopics”.
I am member of the staff of the Cuban independent e-zines "Cacharro(s)" and "The Revolution Evening Post".
