Deidra Gwyther has written weekly columns for two newspapers--reviewing community theater and interviewing prominent jazz musicians. A Summa cum Laude graduate in English, she attended the University of Oregon's Masters Program, where she concentrated on directing and dramaturgy. Gwyther's interest in burlesque derives from an exhaustive study of the acclaimed theatrical innovator, Bertold Brecht. As the Artistic Director for Theatre for Social Change, she directed Brecht's,The Life of Galileo. Prior to this, she directed over ten community theatre productions.
