More Oh good grief, where to start? Well, my name is Jayme Lyn, I’m a graphic designer, video editor, web designer, videographer, logo designer, product designer and a college graduate - who also highly enjoys writing of all kinds.
I received (well, worked my fingers off for) my BFA in Digital Media Production at The Art Institute of Dallas and got to breathe again in October 2008 when I graduated.
My degree was geared more towards video (directing, editing, casting, writing, etc) but it wasn’t until after I graduated that I realized I really love doing graphic design of all sorts.
Since then, I’ve worked for several companies where I’ve been fortunate enough to get to travel to Hong Kong and China to do product development for big box retailers such as Michaels, Garden Ridge, Big Lots, etc. Some of the products I’ve developed have been chosen by (a few of) those retailers to be sold in their stores. (Yay!) I’ve also done packaging for numerous products for those retailers and quite a few more. I got the chance to dabble in logistics (which really isn’t my forte, but I think I got pretty good at it).
A little personal history and then this novel is over – I was born and half-raised in Southern California, and then I moved to Texas and got raised the rest of the
way. I got the best of both worlds I think... I’m laid back like a Californian but have the work ethic of a Texan (basically, work until you can’t work any more,
sleep for a few hours and then work some more.) I’m your typical workaholic and I thrive in chaos. I love deadlines and I love working at a fast pace. Last
minute things usually aren’t a problem for me, because, well, like I said… it creates urgency and that bodes well with me.
