A new Journalist on the Internet. I am the Interfacer.
My technology experience dates back to 1980 when I began studies at Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba. My First year I studied Electronics Technology. Year two I switched to Computer Technology.
In 1983, I moved to Vancouver, BC. With access to computers at college libraries, I taught himself graphics design and started creating letterhead, business cards, logos, brochures and print ads.
June, 1988 I bought my first computer, a Macintosh II with a 16 MHz processor. By 1990, I was using the Internet. I even joined Hotmail before Billy bought it.
In 1992, I started the company, Interface Video Productions providing studios and video production/editing services to the burgeoning TV and Film Industries. For the next decade I developed systems to view actors using technology and the Internet. This is why I am known as Interfacer. I interface people with technology.
In 2001, I moved to Salmon Arm to be close to my newly retired parents.
From 2003 to 2008, I worked at Custom Window & Door Millworks, designing windows & doors in 3D while maintaining the computers, network & firewall, back-ups and Internet/Email access. I was also the in-house web site designer.
Now I've started writing and soon will have my Journalism Degree. I'll post all my articles here.
My other interests include faith, philanthropy and fitness.
