The hype around Wii Music has been building ever since Nintendo gave it its first demo around the launch of the Wii. And it seems to have reached its crescendo with the imminent release of the title.
And the man talking it up couldn't have loftier credentials. Shigeru Miyamoto is an icon of the video game industry and creator of some of its most loved characters such as Mario and Zelda. He insists Wii Music will be revolutionary and better than just a video game.
The game involves the opportunity for casual gamers to try their hands at a variety of instruments such as the drums, piano and violin all by simulating motions with the Wiimote. Miyamoto feels the game will be a great educational and recreational tool and expects schools around the world to benefit from it.
Wii Fit brought fun to the masses in performing aerobics in front of their television screens. Wii Music may just be Nintendo's latest hit.
