Person Biography:(required) <p> </p> <p><strong>Rudy Giuliani </strong></p> <p><strong>Rudy Giuliani, full name Rudolph William Louis ‘Rudy’ Giuliani, is running for the upcoming U.S. Presidential Elections 2012 hoping to become the next President of America</strong></p> <p><strong>Biography </strong></p> <p>Rudy Giuliani is a name which is quite common in New York, as he has been the Mayor of that State for quite a number of years. Giuliani is now aiming to become the President of America and plans to run for the upcoming Presidential Elections 2012. Rudy Giuliani is a lawyer, businessman and politician, also to his credit is the Mayoralty of New York from year 1994 to 2001.</p> <p><strong>Early Life and Education</strong></p> <p>Rudy Giuliani was born in Brooklyn, New York and was the only child of his working-class parents, Harold Angelo Giuliani and Helen. Both his parents were children of Italian immigrants and were first-generation Americans. He was raised a Roman Catholic and later in life, was even given the option for priesthood, which he declined. In the early years of his life, Rudy Giuliani had difficulty holding a job and he was even convicted of felony assault and robbery, for which he had to serve time in the prison. However, the lessons learnt at that time stayed with him through and through.</p> <p>Rudy Giuliani attended a local Catholic school, St. Anne’s, as a child. He later attended the Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School and graduated in 1961. Giuliani attended Manhattan College in Riverdale, Bronx. He attended the New York University School of Law in Manhattan and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 1968. <strong></strong></p> <p><strong>Career and Political Aspirations </strong></p> <p>Rudy Giuliani was initially a Democrat and Independent in 1970s, however he became a Republican in the 1980s and since then has remained one. Through 1980s Giuliani served in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and eventually became the Attorney. Rudy Giuliani is credited with prosecuting a number of high-profile cases, some of which included dangerous mafia groups.</p> <p>After leaving office as a mayor, Rudy Giuliani founded a security consulting business, Giuliani Partners.</p> <p>Rudy Giuliani ran for the Senate in 2000 but withdrew during the initial stages due to being diagnosed with prostate cancer and scandals related to personal life. In 2008, he ran for the Republican Party nominations in the Presidential elections but again withdrew when he saw his position faltering. During that time, Rudy Giuliani initially lead the polls but his ratings dwindled in caucuses and primaries of January, 2008. He considered running for both Governor and Senator in 2010, but decided not to do that and instead concentrated on his business. This time around, Rudy Giuliani does hope to get a higher chance of winning.</p> <p> </p>
