Person Biography:(required) <p> </p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span>Robin van Persie is a Dutch striker who is currently representing Netherlands in international football and Arsenal in club football. </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span>Van Persie was born on 6 August 1983 in Kralingen, a section of East Rotterdam, to an artist family. His father Bob was a sculptor and his mother José Ras was a painter. They expected their son to follow their footstep, but Van Persie pursued a career in football.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span>A creative center forward, Robin van Persie started to play football at the age of 4 when he joined the youth academy of SBV Excelsior where he continued to hone his football skills until he turns 16, before moving to Feyenoord’s youth side in 1999.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span>Van Persie made his professional debut with Feyenoord in 2001 and continued to play for the Dutch club until 2004, before moving to Arsenal for a transfer fee of £2.75 million. At Feyenoord, he won the UEFA Cup in 2002.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span>He did not have to wait for too long to become a regular player at Arsenal and won the FA Community Shield and FA Cup in his debut season.
