Dr. Ram Baran Yadav was born in 4 February 1948 and is the current President of Nepal. He was born on 4 February 1948 in the small village of Sapahi in Dhanusha district in south-eastern Nepal and was the fourth son of Thani and Ramrita Yadav. He was elected as president in July 2008 and is the country's first President. He received 308 out of the 590 votes cast in the Constituent Assembly to become first President of Nepal. He previously served as Minister of Health and as General Secretary of the Nepali Congress party.
He received his schooling and higher education in Kathmandu before he started his medical studies in India. Yadav completed his MBBS from Calcutta Medical College in India and MD from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Research in Chandigarh of India. He also has Diploma in Clinical Pathology from Kolkata. He passed his life studying in India from 1983 to 1988 and also did internship there.
Ram Baran Yadav has two sons namely Dr. Chandra Mohan Yadav and Chandra Shekhar Yadav and a daughter, Anita Yadav. He lives in Sheetal Niwas in Kathmandu with his second son and a daughter. His first son is in United States, who lives there with his family. His wife is no more with him now. She died in 1983.
