Rachel Aliene Corrie (April 10, 1979 – March 16, 2003) was an American member of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM). She died while attempting to intervene in the demolition of a Palestinian home in Gaza. Some witnesses state that she was caught underneath a bulldozer, while the IDF investigation reported that she died after being struck by falling debris. Furthermore, while the investigation reported that the driver of the bulldozer could not see her, witnesses maintain that there was nothing to obscure the driver's view. At the time of her death, Corrie was a student at the Evergreen State College in Washington.
