On the past mid-night of July 20 premiere of Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises" in Aurora, Colorado movie theather, James Holmes entered through an exit door at the front of the theater roughly 30 minutes into the movie dressed in a riot helmet, bulletproof vest and a gas mask, and carrying a rifle and a handgun. Right there, he executed his plan by detonating off smoke bombs, then began shooting randomly on the movie viewers including those who tried to flee.
Holmes is the man suspected of shooting 71 people and killing at least 12 while injuring more than 50 in a sold-out movie theater. Holmes was arrested few minutes later in the parking lot of the movie theater, looking like "a villain in a movie,"
