Person Biography:(required) <p> <p><strong>Donald John Trump, Sr.</strong> was born June 14, 1946 as the fourth of five children of Fred Trump, a real-estate developer and self-made millionaire, and is an American business magnate, socialite, television personality and author. He is also the Chairman and CEO of the Trump Organization, a US-based real-estate developer. Aside from his other roles, Trump is the founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts which operates numerous casinos and hotels throughout the world. Trump's celebrity status was amplified by the success of his NBC reality show, <em>The Apprentice</em> where he serves as host and executive producer. Donald Trump is considered a possible candidate for President of the United States in 2012.</p> <p>Donald influenced by his father to make a career in real estate development graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968 and then joined his father's company, Elizabeth Trump & Son. Trump subsequently formed his own company, The Trump Organization, in 1971.</p> <p>Starting with the renovation of the Commodore Hotel into the Grand Hyatt with the Pritzker family, Trump continued building his Trump Tower in New York City and several other residential projects. He would then later expand into the airline industry buying the Eastern Shuttle routes. Thereafter, Trump would continue expansion and purchase theAtlantic City casino business, including buying the Taj Mahal Casino from the Crosby family and then take it into bankruptcy. This continued expansion led to a mountain of debt as is evidenced by much of the news about him in the early 90s which involved his financial problems, a creditor-led bailout, an extramarital affair with Marla Maples whom he later married and the resulting divorce from his first wife, Ivana Trump.</p> <p>The late 90s saw a rebound in Trump's financial situation and in 2001, he completed Trump World Tower - a 72-story residential tower across from the United Nations Headquarters. Also, Trump began construction on Trump Place, a multi-building development along the Hudson River.</p> <p>Trump owns commercial space in Trump International Hotel and Tower, a 44-story mixed-use (hotel and condominium) tower on Columbus Circle and currently owns several million square feet of prime Manhattan real estate. He also remains a major figure in the field of real estate in the United States and a celebrity for his prominent media exposure.</p>   </p>
