Derek Lowe's Biography

Derek Christopher Lowe (born June 1, 1973, in Dearborn, Michigan) is a Major League Baseball (MLB) starting pitcher in the Cleveland Indians organization. Before becoming an Indian, Lowe was a member of the Atlanta Braves from 2009-2011, Los Angeles Dodgers from 2005-2009, and Boston Red Sox from 1998-2004. In the 2004 post-season he had a 3-0 win-loss record as he helped lead Boston to its first World Series championship in 86 years. He throws and bats right-handed. He is 6'6", weighing in at 230 pounds.
