Céline Marie Claudette Dion, CC, OQ (French pronunciation: [selin djɔ̃] ( listen); born March 30, 1968) is a French Canadian singer. Born in Repentigny, Quebec, at the "Le Gardeur" hospital, to a large family from Charlemagne. Dion emerged as a teen star in the French-speaking world after her manager and future husband René Angélil mortgaged his home to finance her first record. In 1990, she released the English-language album Unison, establishing herself as a viable pop artist in North America and other English-speaking areas of the world.
Celine Dion recently appeared on the Oprah WinfreyOprah Winfrey show, showing footage of her and husband Rene Angelil with their four-month-old twin boys Eddy and Nelson walking around in the stark-white brand new interior of their $20 million dollar Jupiter Island mansion in Florida. Celine and Rene, who have been together since 1987, also have a 10-year old son, Rene Charles. This sneak peek into the lives of Celine Dion and her family are a prelude to and promotion of an upcoming documentary movie called "Celine: Through The Eyes Of The World." The film is reported to document a year of her life, including her performances and behind the scenes footage.
The Daily Mail reports that just this week Celine Dion returned to Las Vegas in preparation to start her renewed three year stint at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and she returns to residency for seventy shows a year starting on March 15 and has moved her entire family for the duration.
