Person Biography:(required) <p> Andrew had an exceptional all-round game in his first appearance at EURO 2012. His combination of physical play, tenacity and aerial prowess was definitely fitting for England's second match in the Group stage where he scored the first goal as England scored a 3-2 triumph over Sweden.</p> <p> Andrew Carroll recently joined Liverpool Football Club in England from Newcastle United and also has scored his first international goal at the senior level for the English National Team.</p> <p> Andy is not in the running for a spot in England's next EURO 2012 qualifying match on June 4th versus Switzerland due to injury. </p> <p> While Darren Bent is a uniquely gifted athlete in ways Andy is not, i.e. his speed, they are both expected to find the net and score goals. With Wayne Rooney suspended, Darren had an opportunity to continue to impress in a 3 Lion's shirt but apparently he missed the two best chances of the 2nd half as the Swiss held on to tie the English 2-2 at Wembley. One can only wonder if Andy will be ready for their next match on September 2nd.
