An overview of the life and greatest works of William Wordsworth. This documentary segment follows the rise of his poetic career, as shaped by his early interest in the French revolution, friendship with Samuel Taylor Coleridge, rural life with sister Dorothy, and reverence for nature and the pristine consciousness of childhood. This segment includes analysis of his preface to "Lyrical Ballads"and presents passages from "Lines Written a Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey", "The Prelude", "Ode: Intimations of Immortality", and "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" (also known as "Daffodils"). (NB: The video has a minor production glitch: typos in the captioning. I do not feel it mars the overall thoroughness and quality of the presentation, however.)
