Letters Review: Larkin & Bellow

In the age of texting and twitter, letter writing is fast becoming a dying art. The panel look at the private correspondence of two of the 20th centuries literary and poetic giants - Saul Bellow and Philip Larkin. A prolific correspondent, Bellow's Letter span 8 decades where he engages in literary and philosophical discussions with friends and fellow writers. 'Letters To Monica' gathers together over 2000 unpublished letters and telegrams written by Larkin to his long time lover and confident, Monica Jones. The letters reveal a much softer and gentler side to Larkin and deepen our understanding of one of the best loved poets of his generation.
