Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka (Zulu pronunciation: [pʰumziːle mlamboŋǀʱuːkʼa]; born 3 November 1955) is a South African politician who was Deputy President of South Africa from 2005 to 2008. She was the first woman to hold the position and was the highest ranking woman in the history of South Africa. She is married to the former head of the National Prosecuting Authority, Bulelani Ngcuka.
