Furtado's tweet said she received one million from the Gaddafi clan in 2007 after performing for them at an Italian hotel. Furtado's choice of action has put the pressure on for several other celebrities. Rolling Stone reports Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Usher and 50 Cent have all performed for members of Gaddafi's clan. Although the stars have yet to comment, a music industry insider says these private gigs are more common than you might think... "'They've done it for tons of artists,' ... referring to Muatassim's parties, which are often jammed with supermodels. 'Those guys are all over the world.'"
