Kibaki signs law barring party hopping
www.ntv.co.ke Elsewhere, President Mwai Kibaki has today assented to that law he rejected last month -- but only after parliament made the changes he wanted. The new law now means MPs are stopped from last minute party hopping but they don't have to have university degrees to get elected. It also paves the way for the Speaker of parliament to declare vacant the three parliamentary seats whose occupants have since died. Nimrod Taabu reports.
