Mitt Romney Gives Primary Victory Speech on Verge of General Election
For more on Vote 2012: www.pbs.org After being declared the winner in the Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and New York primaries, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney told supporters in Manchester, NH -- where he announced his presidential candidacy less than a year ago -- to gear up for the general election. "After 43 primaries and caucuses, many long days and more than a few long nights, I can say with confidence -- and gratitude -- that you have given me a great honor and solemn responsibility," Romney said. "And, together, we will win on November 6th!" Romney also took aim at President Obama's re-election bid. "Tonight is the beginning of the end of the disappointments of the Obama years," he said.
