Loretta Devine's Biography

Loretta Devine (born August 21, 1949) is an American film and television actress. Devine is known for her role of teacher Marla Hendricks on the FOX drama Boston Public. She has a recurring role as Adele Webber on the ABC medical drama Grey's Anatomy, she was starring in the FOX and later The WB stop motion animated television series The PJs as Muriel Stubbs, and played Patti on the legal drama Eli Stone.
