The New Zealand Warriors beat the Parramatta Eels today in the rain at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland. The win sees the Warriors move into the top 8 and gives them a shot at winning the NRL title in 2010. I can't believe it's round 17 already. Jerome Ropati was tops at fullback. It was an inspirational effort without Sam Rapira, Lance Hohaia, Brett Seymour, Brent Tate, Steve Price or Kevin Locke. Other players who performed admirably were Lewis Brown, Ukuma Taia, Sione Lousi, Michael Luck, Russell Packer, Ben Matulino, Ian Henderson and the halves, Isaac John and James Maloney. Up the Warriors! Lyrics The Warriors smashed the Parramatta Eels And the pain will get worse as the blood congeals The time has come to start buildin' up the hype As the Warriors plant the Steeden on the stripe Can you feel the mighty Warriors confidence grow For the first time in 2 years, 3 in a row Big Ben, Ukuma and a double to Sharky Let's celebrate now, let's start the Ropati Inu will be a Warrior but for now he's an Eel And he ain't no match for a Big Manu steal Rusty was awesome, Sione did his job They made Nathan Hindmarsh look like a knob! No Sam Rapira, Hohaia, Seymour or Tate No more Steve Price and no Kevin Locke Maloney and John were just great That's why the Warriors rock!
