www.basketball-reference.com Charles Barkley scored 42 points (16-26 FG) and hauled in 13 rebounds but it wasn't enough as the Bulls won game 2 of the 1993 Finals 111-108. With the loss, Barkley and the Suns fell into an 0-2 hole going back to Chicago. Kevin Johnson was plagued with foul trouble, and Dan Majerle had a horrendous shooting night. Their struggles forced Barkley to carry the burden of powering the Suns' offense. Barkley got very little rest despite landing hard on his elbow in the 3rd quarter. The elbow would burden Charles the rest of the series. Barkley had a strong all around game but in the end, Michael Jordan would surpass Barkley's efforts with a near triple double and a couple of jumpers late that put the game out of reach for Phoenix. More Valiant Effort to come.
