C Programming - Level 002 - V001b

The C Programming Language is one of the earliest programming languages. In an industry where newer languages, tools and technologies appear and disappear every day, a language that has survived for more than 4 decades has to be really worthy. C is a "low level" simple language, that was developed for writing code for UNIX operating system. But C went on to become one of the most successful languages that can be used to create the most elegant of applications and operating systems. Most of today's commercial applications and operating systems have the C language at their core. This tutorial is a team effort by a few individuals who have been using C as their language of development at their work places. This tutorial uses the book published by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie known to C programmers as "K&R" as the main reference point, but also includes the later standards that were included. We use Windows platform to demonstrate our sample code and hence have used tools that are Windows based. However, you should not have any problems in running the sample programs on Linux as well. I will give you details about them as and when we start to use them. We have tried our level best to provide you with a variety of code samples on each and every possible topic related to Programming in C.
