Bill Lockyer's Biography
William Westwood Lockyer (born in Oakland, California, May 8, 1941) is the current State Treasurer of California, elected in 2006. He has also served as California Attorney General and President Pro Tempore of the California State Senate. Having held elective office since 1973, Lockyer has arguably had more varied executive and legislative experience than any other current official of the State Government.
