Bernard Makuza's Biography

Bernard Makuza (born 1961) is the current Prime Minister of Rwanda. He has been Prime Minister since 8 March 2000. An ethnic Hutu, Makuza was a member of the Democratic Republican Movement (MDR) before allegations were made that the party promoted genocide. He resigned membership before being appointed Prime Minister, and now claims to belong to no party.
