Asif Ali Zardari (Urdu: آصف علی زرداری) (Sindhi: آصف علي زرداري) (born 21 July 1956) is a Pakistani politician and the Co-Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). He is the widower of Benazir Bhutto, who twice served as Prime Minister of Pakistan.
"I dread a Pakistan ruled by Zardari. Just like every other Pakistani, I truly do. But that may in fact be the price we have to pay to move ahead in the hope for democracy and the institutional development that is bound to come after this period of strife." - Emad Nadim
And now that he's here, we can do nothing but pray that Pakistan survives at least a few years under his rule. The day he was elected, the price of electricity increased by 31%... What a predictably unfortunate turn of events.
Asif is growing into a tough ad wise man, and Pak has good times ahead; hope he doesnt sow the seeds of Revenge and Personal Politics in Pak by starting to trouble Musharraf..
