3 women died 13 injured in road accident.CHITRAL: A s well as 3 women died in road mishap while 13 injured.Serious injured persons were rushed to Peshawar hospital. According toSHO police station Garamchishma a Toyota jeep bearing registration NoSwat 2278 was on its way where some people mostly belongs to onefamily were returning from a wedding ceremony. These people had cometo attend wedding ceremony of Sher Dula Jan and were going back totheir home from Karimabad to Arkari when this ill-fated vehiclereached to Kharcham Shughoor its encountered a road side trafficaccident. As a result Mrs. Nadia wife of Rahmat Bhai, Rubina daughterof Sher Zaman and Bibi Nisa wife of Noor Alam were died on thespot. While 13 persons including 3 children and driver of the vehiclewere badly injured. Those who injured were identified as Khasil Khanson of Khwaja Khan resident of Arkari age 40 years, Mir Hakeem son ofBaramad Khan resident of Sewakht age 65 years, Shafa Roz son ofBaramad Khan age 75 years of Sewakht, Rahmat Bhai son of Shafa Roz age32 years of Sewakht, Ibrahim Khan son of Husain Khan, Sher Alam son ofMtayib age 35 years, Miss Zareena daughter of Khushi Khan (wife ofHasil Khan) Khush Muhammad son of Khushi Khan age 20 years, wife ofSher Alam age 35 years, Akhtar Hussain son of Hussain Khan age 12years, Zahid Hussain son of Ibrahim age 5 years, Riaz Khan son ofKiramat Khan and Ghazali son of Adeena Khan were injured.Ibrahim son of Hussain Khan is serious who was referred to Peshawarhospital. Police told that the accident was occurred with wrongdriving and mistake of Driver they have lodged First InformationReport (FIR) No. 61 and logged further investigations. Hearing theaccident Tehsil Nazim of Chitral Sartaj Ahmad Khan reached thehospital and directed hospital staff for immediate dressing andtreatment of injured persons. He thanked MS of DHQ hospital and hisstaff for fully support and immediate arrangement of treatment ofinjured persons. An eye witness Subadar told this scribe that theaccident was occurred due to break failure of the vehicle and driverclimbed the vehicle on a height near by mountain to save it fromfelling down in a deep ravine. Hence the vehicle up-turn on the roadand 3 women came down under the vehicle who were died on the spot. Hesaid that in case of felling down the vehicle in deep ravine(hundreds of feet below on river side) it is fear that all thepassengers might be died hence driver saved it from felling down. Inthis connection while this scribe contacted district Naib NazimSultan Shah, DCO and DPO they said that the road is narrow and in avery dilapidated condition and that is why that every year a number ofpassengers are dying on this road in road mishap. Sultan Shah saidthat there is no fencing, parapet and protection wall on road sidewhile it passes via so many blind and sharp turn and zigzag onehaving the height of 9000 feet from sea level. He said that that thisis a very dangerous road passing through a narrow pass on mountainousway while its turn are very narrow and dangerous one. He said that thedistrict government have no sufficient fund for constructing fencingwall or side wall on road side to save precious lives from death inroad accidents. Meanwhile Niaz Ali Shah Chairman legal Awarenessprogram for human rights Chitral expressed his deep sorrow and griefover the sad demise on this fetal accident where 3 lives expired. Healso appeal to Federal and provincial government for compensating thebereaved families as well as construction of fencing, parapet andprotection wall on road side to save precious lives from death insuch type of fatal accidents.G.H.
