Afghan lawmakers dismissed Interior Minister Bismillah Mohammadi and Defense Minister Abdul Rahim Wardak on Saturday for failing to respond to the recent cross-border rocket attacks from Pakistan into Afghanistan. Abdul Rahim Wardak was dismissed with 146 votes of no confidence and 72 positive votes while Bismillah Mohammadi lost his position with 126 votes of no confidence and 90 positive votes. The parliament session turned violent at the time of counting the votes and media outlets were forced banned from filming the violence.
