Eichholz Law Firm Raises Money to Assist Community Members in Need of Legal Services

Eichholz Law Firm recently sponsored an event hosted by the Savannah Young Lawyers Division of the Savannah Bar Association. August 09, 2011

Unfortunately, many people that are in need of legal services are not able to afford them. From children to adults, the amount of individuals that could benefit from legal aid yet cannot pay for the assistance of a lawyer is staggering. To help make their services more accessible to the people of the community, the Savannah Young Lawyers Division has recently held its 6th annual golf tournament at the Westin Golf Club. A sponsor of the event, the Eichholz Law Firm contributed to the raising of over 5,600 dollars, which will be donated to the Chatham County Guardian Ad Litem Program.

The Chatham County Guardian Ad Litem Program is an organization that allows members of the community to obtain access to legal services if they cannot afford paying a lawyer outright. This program has served the community for years, providing aid to individuals in need of legal assistance.

A part of the Savannah Bar Association, the Savannah Young Lawyers Division is an organization that is made up of over 70 members of the legal community. Targeted at serving the public by providing pro bono work, the Young Lawyers Division hosted the event. Sponsors, such as the Eichholz Law Firm, were comprised of a variety of local legal offices and businesses looking to enhance the impact of the event and contribute to a worthy cause.

Held at the Westin Golf Club at Savannah Harbor on Friday, June 24, the 6th annual tournament continued the legacy of philanthropic work established by the Savannah Young Lawyers Division years ago. An important part of the Savannah Bar Association, the Young Lawyers Division represents the willingness of the newer generations of legal professionals, such as those at the Eichholz Law Firm, to become positive influences on the community and extend their impact beyond their daily case load.
