In July, IEC signed a new $1 billion five-year gas procurement contract with Yam Tethys for the purchase of one billion cubic meters a year of natural gas from its field offshore from Ashkelon. Yam Tethys beat Egypt's East Mediterranean Gas Co. (EMG) for the contract.
