Inquiry into Montara oil spill launched

David Borthwick has been appointed to lead an inquiry into a major oil spill off the Western Australian coast. The oil began leaking on August 21 in the Montara field near the West Atlas oil rig, more than 200km north-west of WA's Kimberley coastline, and was only plugged Tuesday afternoon.
