An oil well which has been spewing hundreds of thousands of litres of oil into the Timor Sea has been plugged...The company says it pumped nearly 3,500 barrels of mud into a relief well to plug the leak. A fire on the platform, which stifled attempts to cap the leak, has now been mostly extinguished.
