Jack Nelson, a former Pulitzer Prize -winning reporter and Washington bureau chief for The Los Angeles Times who brought finely honed investigative skills to his coverage of the civil rights movement and the Watergate scandal, died early Wednesday at his home in Bethesda, Md.
