The Capital Journal, South Dakota: West Nile epidemic dwindling
No one goes so far as to declare West Nile virus no longer poses a public health threat in South Dakota. Still, cases involving the mosquito-borne disease suddenly have dwindled, nearly as quickly as the deadly epidemic of West Nile virus first burst into the state earlier this decade.
