Greek unemployment rises to 9.6% in July

Greece's unemployment rate jumped to 9.6 percent in July from 8.6 percent in June, official figures showed Wednesday, as the economic downturn continues to take its toll on the labor market. The National Statistics Service said the July jobless figure increased from 7 percent a year earlier.
