Two powerful earthquakes triggered a tsunami alert over a huge swathe ...
Three earthquakes hit off the coast of Vanuatu this morning, shaking many islands and prompting the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre to issue a region-wide alert. The latest quake measured 8.1 on the Richter scale and struck 300 kilometres north-west of the Vanuatu island of Espiritu Santo.
