Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, already a member of the court, takes a ceremonial oath of office to be formally welcomed to the bench. In the ceremony called investiture, Chief Justice John Roberts was to administer the oath to Sotomayor Tuesday, CNN reported.
